Automation Cost & Audit for Jira — Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the TCYM Forge app and supplement the TCYM Terms of Use.

Effective date: 2026-09-09

If a Marketplace version of the app is offered under Atlassian's standard or customizable end-user agreement, that agreement applies as shown in the applicable Marketplace order or installation flow. These terms then operate as TCYM product-specific terms to the extent they are incorporated or do not conflict with that agreement.

1. Agreement and scope

These Terms of Service apply to Automation Cost & Audit for Jira (the “App”), provided by TCYM. The TCYM Terms of Use, applicable Atlassian Marketplace terms, and the order, trial, or subscription terms presented for the App may also apply. If there is a conflict, the more specific terms for the App or transaction control to the extent of that conflict.

2. License

Subject to an active trial, subscription, or other valid Marketplace entitlement and compliance with these terms, TCYM grants the customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use the App for the customer's internal administrative purposes during the applicable entitlement period. The customer may not resell or commercially redistribute the App except where a separate written agreement permits it.

3. Intended operation

The App analyzes a Jira Automation JSON export deliberately selected by an authorized user. It provides inventory, structural analysis, deterministic findings, planning scenarios, before/after comparison, and locally generated CSV or HTML reports.

The App does not automatically retrieve Automation rules through Jira REST APIs, write to Jira, modify or execute rules, ingest runtime audit logs, continuously monitor Jira, or synchronize with the Automation Rule Management API.

4. Estimates, Automation steps, and billing limitations

The App analyzes static configuration and user-provided planning inputs. A configured component count is not an executed-step count. Conditions can stop later components, and actual execution depends on runtime facts such as trigger frequency, JQL results, condition outcomes, branch fan-out, loop iterations, retries, throttling, rule changes, and Atlassian platform behavior.

The planning scenario uses an optional runs-per-rule assumption only for rules that the App considers eligible for that simplified estimate. Disabled rules, rules containing branch or loop components, rules with unknown components, rules whose trigger is not recognized, and rules containing agentic or separately billed candidates are excluded from that automatic scenario rather than assigned a guessed runtime multiplier.

The App does not guarantee an actual Atlassian invoice, Automation step total, allowance, overage, saving, or future pricing result. Customers must confirm actual usage, plan allowances, billing settings, and current commercial terms in Atlassian's official administration and billing interfaces. The App is not accounting, tax, legal, financial, or compliance advice.

5. Customer responsibilities

The customer is responsible for having authorization to export and analyze the selected Jira Automation configuration; checking the accuracy of user-entered assumptions; reviewing findings before changing any rule or operational process; protecting exports and downloaded reports; and confirming any billing or governance decision against authoritative Atlassian information.

6. Privacy and data handling

The App's current data boundary is described in the Product Privacy Notice. In summary, the selected export is processed in the browser and is not stored by TCYM. The customer remains responsible for ensuring that it has authority to process the data contained in its export and to share any information it voluntarily sends to support.

7. Atlassian and third-party services

Jira, Atlassian Forge, and Atlassian Marketplace are services operated by Atlassian. Their availability, account administration, Marketplace transaction rules, and platform behavior are governed by Atlassian's applicable terms. TCYM is responsible for the App as stated in these terms, but cannot control changes or outages in Atlassian services.

8. Changes and availability

TCYM may update the App to fix defects, improve security, preserve compatibility, or respond to Atlassian platform and billing changes. Features, classifications, or supported export shapes may change when reasonably necessary. TCYM does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or recognition of every future or private Jira Automation component shape.

9. Warranty disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available.” TCYM disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy to the extent those warranties may legally be disclaimed. Nothing in these terms limits warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TCYM will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or costs arising from estimates, reports, billing decisions, rule changes, or use of the App.

Except for liability that cannot legally be limited, TCYM's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App will not exceed the fees paid or payable for the App by the affected customer during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Term and termination

The customer's right to use the App ends when the applicable trial, subscription, license, or Marketplace entitlement ends, or when use is lawfully suspended or terminated under applicable terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, and dispute provisions, continue to apply.

12. Governing law and support

These product terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory applicable law requires otherwise. The common TCYM Terms of Use apply to matters not addressed here. Support questions can be sent to support@tcym.jp.
